Attention MKE Visual Artists!
The 'Creating and Connecting CommUNITY' Project will connect multiple MPS Schools by collaborating to create a permanent art installation to be displayed at the MPS Central Services Building. Artwork could include banners, stained glass work, sculptures, mixed media pieces and will be determined by the selected artist.

interMEDIAte Multimedia Workshop
February 11th, 2010 from 4pm-5pm @ A@L Offices (4650 N. Port Washington Rd.)
March 17th, 2010 from 9am-3pm @ MPS Tech Center (6620 W. Capitol Drive, Rm. # 225-226)
Now that your Arts @ Large school has multimedia equipment, what can you do with it? Join us for a FREE 2-day interactive workshop focused on using multimedia in the classroom and what to do once you’ve captured video and/or photo. The first session will give an overview of the equipment and provide you with some guidelines to capturing media in your classroom. The second session will provide options for how to manipulate that media by creating videos, photo slideshows and other multimedia presentations. Teachers may schedule a substitute teacher for the March 17th workshop and their school will be reimbursed for the cost. Lunch will be provided during the March 17th workshop. Jewish Museum Milwaukee Tour and Mini-Workshops

Come tour the Jewish Museum Milwaukee and participate in a variety of mini-workshops from ‘Storytelling’ to ‘Life in Israel.’ This event is FREE for teachers and artist educators interested in learning more about how to utilize this great community resource. Arts @ Large welcomes community artists who are interested in learning and refining the art of working in collaboration with teachers in the classroom. This FREE, hands-on workshop will feature a variety of techniques that will help foster relationships between the classroom teacher and the artist educator providing the catalyst for a successful arts integration collaboration! This workshop will feature Marina Lee of Beginning Dreams Forever, MPS Art Curriculum Specialist Kimberly Abler and teachers from Arts @ Large schools. Continental Breakfast included.
