Opportunities are available for college and university students to assist artist educators in short and long-term arts-integrated project-based learning experiences in K-8 classrooms or with a community organization. Opportunities are also available for students to work side-by-side with an arts administrator to experience the development, coordination and implementation of arts education programming.
Process
Arts @ Large schedules a variety of artist residencies in K-8 Milwaukee Public Schools. Projects are scheduled during the school day, after school and in the summer. As project plans are solidified between artist educators and MPS school staff, Arts @ Large will make appropriate opportunities available for students accepted into the Arts @ Large Mentorship Program.
