About

All teachers can create an arts-rich environment in their classrooms that improves achievement for all students. Connecting arts and academics enhances student learning in both areas! See our CLASSROOM RESOURCES and PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT opportunities for support in creating an arts-rich curriculum in your classroom.

Classroom teachers, school administration, school staff, and after-school and summer program providers are key to building a sustainable arts program in their school. Arts @ Large works closely with each individual school in order to address that school’s specific needs and build an arts rich atmosphere that highlights the essential role that the arts and art specialists play in inclusive classroom learning.

During the 2009/10 School Year, 1,772 teachers, administrators and after-school providers, as well as dozens of artist educators participated in 14 A@L professional development events as well as various in-school arts integraton workshops.
