The World’s Lungs Celebration

Join us at the Arts@Large gallery to celebrate Catalina Bayona’s Exhibition with a vibrant evening of music, dance, and art. It’s about gathering those from the Milwaukee community to immerse themselves in the sights and sounds of Colombia!

Catalina Bayona is a Colombian artist based in the United States. Colombia is home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World: the Amazon. Bayona’s paintings and sculptures illuminate the vibrancy of the Amazon, “the lungs of the world.”

Her exhibition, more than an art show, is an experience that invites us to reflect on our relationship of being with nature and nature in being. At the same time, she seeks to make known the richness of her culture through art.
