Doors Open at Arts @ Large

Join us for Historic Milwaukees Doors Open on Saturday, September 27th.  Come explore Arts @ Large by touring our beautifully restored building, originally built by Patrick Cudahy in 1890. Discover the rich history of all three levels in our Walker’s Point Community Center and see firsthand the transformation of the building from its past to its current use. Outside of building tours, guests will have the chance to dive into a variety of creative family friendly activities, while learning about our efforts to make the arts accessible to everyone through our diverse programming. Whether you have 10 minutes to spare or a few hours to spend, we will have an activity suited for guests of all ages.

Legacy Exhibition Opening Celebration

Join us on Gallery Night for the second annual Legacy Exhibition Opening Celebration. All are welcome to participate in a variety of interactive installations highlighting the creativity of amazing artist-educators. We’ll showcase student art from a variety of Milwaukee classrooms, along with legacy artifacts created within our community center. To the soundtrack of Jam House recordings, we’ll feature art from our Summer Camp, A.I.R. academy, Career Development, and Artist in Residence programs. This year’s exhibition will celebrate photography from our new artist support project: Nurture. As always, Green Baked Goods will make the night even better with their culinary creations.  Free and open to all in the community.
